Firstly congratulations to Abington for clinching the 2017 SOL Continental Title (pending match with PW Wednesday, could be tied) In truly one of the best matches HH has seen in a long time HH dropped in the 5th set to a very strong Abington team. They are going to contend at the district level no question and were able to consistently keep pressure on us defensively and in serve receive.
Sophomore OH Cam WIld lead the offense hitting .304 with 23 kills, 2 aces, and 13 digs only to be followed by Senior OH Katerina Yankanich hitting .211 with 18 kills, an ace, and 13 digs. Adding to the offense was Sophomore MH MaryKate Scully hitting .571 with 4 kills and 2 blocks. Running the offense were junior setters Rachel Dittus and Katie Graham with 21 and 28 assist respectively with Graham adding 2 aces to the night. Sophomore OPP Jule Gibbons added 5 aces on the line. Senior Libero Maddie Kallmeyer led the defense with 21 digs and 3 aces.
Hatboro-Horsham takes on Lower Merion away on Tuesday at 3:45.
