The Lady Patriots finally won their first match of the season, defeating Faith Christian 3-1. Everyone played a critical role in the team win. The defensive law firm of O'Brien (25 digs), Frith (11 digs) and Muzsi (5 digs) took care of managing the back row defense. Brynne Vonder Schmalz (38 assists, 12 digs, 8 aces) distributed the ball very effectively to the front line hitters, including Summer Darling (7 kills, 4 aces, 3 digs), Kiera Lozon (7 kills), and Abi Zmuda (4 kills, 18 digs, 2 aces). Sophie Fiander and Taliya Pettigrew (3 kills each) also made significant contributions. The star of the game was Alli Minacci, who delivered a complete game with a stat line of 13 kills (.322 hitting percentage), 7 aces and 4 blocks.
