The highlight of the set was senior captain outside hitter Madlen Potrusilova, who led the team with three kills and provided some momentum toward the end of the set. Abington takes set one, 13-25.
The second set was a back-and-forth affair with the Knights and Ghosts trading points. The Ghosts took a slim lead at 7-10, and North Penn stormed back to tie the set at ten. The Knights extended the lead to 15-11, and the Ghosts took a timeout. Junior middle hitter Maya Mikulski impacted the set with two kills and blocks. North Penn tied the match with a final score of 25-14.
Set three began with the Ghost taking an early 2-6 lead, but the Knights' junior captain, middle hitter, cut the lead to 5-6. The teams tied at ten each when North Penn pressed the accelerator, building a 20-16 lead. Junior setter Sofie Potrusilova and sophomore outside hitter lead the set with three kills each. North Penn closes set three 25-20.
The final set was controlled by North Penn with sisters Potrusilova, Madlen, and Sofie, scoring four kills each. The Knights won the match 25-14.
The Abington Ghosts started strong, but North Penn was too much, advancing to 9-0. The Knights struggled to get started and closed the match with smart play, timely hitting, and solid defense.
