Wissahickon v. Cheltenham

The Wissahickon girls swim team's hard work during winter break paid off in their win against Cheltenham today. Many girls got personal bests, including Julia DeCecco in the 200 freestyle, Liliana Xu in the 200 IM, Kelsey Bauer in the 100 fly, and Kelly Wild and Maya Jog in the 100 backstroke. Though Liliana Xu did not get a personal record in the 100 free, she out-touched a Cheltenham girl and came in second place behind star Wissahickon swimmer Amanda Zlotnikoff. In the 500 free, Natalie Hoffman tied her personal record and both she and Julia DeCecco, who came in second and third place, respectively, finished the race in under six minutes! Other memorable finishes were Grace Ronca's first place in the 200 free, Amanda Zlotnikoff's first place in the 50 free, Kelly Wild's first place in the 100 fly, and Ellie Alberti's first place in the 100 breastroke. Today's meet was another great victory for Wissahickon, and we're looking forward to more wins this season.
