We got off to a slow start offensively, but our pitchers did a nice job of giving us an opportunity to get on track. We had four players throw for us tonight, and they only gave up 1 hit in 5 innings. Katie Straub (Fr) pitched 2 scoreless innings in her varsity debut. Madi Mott, who was phenomenal against OJR earlier in the week, closed it out for us.

Emma Lewis-I was proud of how Emma bounced back from our last game. I know she was really down on herself, and I wanted to keep Emma at the top of the lineup to show her that our coaching staff believes in her. Emma came with a plan tonight and had a much better approach at the plate. She is a dangerous hitter who can hit to all fields and has the power to hit one out at any time.
Megan Borro is a player that every team in this league would love to have in their lineup. She has great mechanics and has gotten stronger in the offseason. Megan typically bats 8th for us, and has given us a huge spark at the back of the order. She got us going again tonight with a double to score our first run, then scored on the next hit to give us the lead.
