Souderton and Hatboro had a good battle Thursday. Souderton held the lead through 5 innings. The difference in the game came with a 2 run bomb hit by Hatboro's Daria Edwards. Salina Allebach pitched 6 1/3 innings allowing 2 earned runs. Derstine was 2 for 2 at the plate. Souderton was primed to make a comeback in the 7th inning with a hungry Derstine at the plate and a runner on first, but Hatboro was able to end the rally with their only caught stealing of the game. Souderton had a total of 7 stolen bases on the day, but couldn't bring the runs home they needed. They play again Tuesday at CB West.
