In a very tough battle, Pennridge scored 2 1st inning runs and made that stand up to run their early season record to 5-0. Paige DeCew went the distance for the Lady Rams striking out 9, no walks, scattering 13 hits, and giving up only 1 run. Offensively, freshman Briana Gery had a "career day" as she went 3 for 4 with 3 doubles and an RBI in the 6th to give Decew and the Rams a little breathing room. Alison Horne was 2 for 4 at the plate. The Rams score twice in the top of the first and the score stood at 2-1 until the 6th. Bridget Casey reached base on a bunt single with 2 outs. She then stole 2nd. Then upstepped Gery to stroke her third double on the day to score Casey.
