Our team put out a solid effort from top to bottom today. I was really proud of the way every kid played their role and did their jobs. Defensively, they played a clean game behind our pitchers, and Liv and Lucy both did a really nice job of spinning the ball today to throw a combined 1 hitter for us. Offensively, we had 10 different players contribute to the offensive box score, plus 3 additional girls who made defensive contributions in the box score as well. As a coach, you can't ever have complaints when you have 13 different players putting together a statistical contribution toward a win. The girls played for each other today, they didn't try and do too much, they each just did a job, and those jobs strung themselves together. Now we have to give ourselves a couple of hours to enjoy the win, then forget it, move on, and focus on the task at hand for our game tomorrow.
