Mike Daher's comments, sometimes you simply have to give credit to the opposing team and their pitcher for the reason we lost. Delaney Stout was outstanding today. She threw strikes all day long, giving up only one walk on the day. And she pitched every batter tough the entire day. She only allowed two hits, a two out double to Sam Hooven and a two out infield single to Marley Swain. In fact, on the day, we only had three runners reach base and all three of them reached base with two outs. She threw 101 pitches on the day and 72 of them were for strikes. She struck out 14 batter and when you have that many strike outs and very few runners reaching base it is just really difficult to pull out a win. But on a positive note, for our team, freshman Brielle Jenner pitched a great game for us. Brielle went six full innings and gave up only four hits while walking one batter and striking out six Upper Moreland hitters. Brielle has really come on this year and pitched some great games for us. It is exciting having two solid pitchers in Kendall Kornuszko and Brielle Jenner, and they are both underclassmen. They are both throwing really well right now."
