We were able to score first off a great finish by Meghan O'Donnell and hold possession of the ball. The last three minutes of the first half we let in three goals and in the end, that is what gave us the loss today. In the second half we played much more evenly with the second half score being 2-2. Maddie Gerlach's header off the corner was huge lift for us. We worked hard and Katherine Morrow was able to convert on a breakaway beating Quinn Klessel.

A slow start for Wissaickon allowing Upper Moreland to go up first 10 minutes into the match. Panicking the Trojans played rushed continuing to turn-over the ball handing Upper Moreland field position and possession up until 30 minutes in. Alexis Smith put Wiss on the board at 25:48 finding the lower 90 on a set piece. This seemed to breathe life into her team as the Trojans then figured it out and started to string together their passes and play combinations. At 36:48 we saw midfielder Sam Comonitski split UM backs finding Carly Amato at the corner for a cross right in front of the 6 that Lieke Black, crashing the net, put away expertly to bring the game to 2-1. Two minutes later the Trojans did it again, only this time it was Anna Schools with a thu ball to Amato finding Black and Smith crashing the net - Smith was able to knock it in. And to end the half Sam Comonitski hit a beauty from well outside the 18.
Upper Moreland did not fold and came out strong answering goal to goal in the second half. For Wiss Grace Mullen in midfield got things going again in the second half with another thru ball finding Black at the top of the 6 for the point. And to end the Trojans scoring tally outside back Natalie Gruenke started another excellent combo play slotting a ball thru to find Smith and Sophia Chiodo Ortiz crashing the net. Smith picked up the pass in front of the 6 and added her third of the game to the scoreboard.
