The Wissahickon girls varsity soccer team continued their exciting play with a 1-0 overtime victory against Upper Merion.
Sophmore goalkeeper Rachel Stone turned away the few shots that she saw to record the clean sheet. Defenders Samantha Silar, Ava Esposito, Jackie Carradorini, and Junior Captain Maureen Beichert played exceptional defense to limit the shots on goal. Kelly Pierce, Caitlin Grey, and Alex Schaefer kept pressure on the Upper Merion squad the entire second half, but could not find the goal. - Finally, at the 5:15 mark in overtime Laura Frankenfield crossed a beautiful ball across the goal mouth and found a streaking Ellen Claire Benbow who buried the ball into the back of the net for the Trojan victory.

The Wissahickon JV team won also by a score of 4-1. A great game was played by Bailey Weber, Audrey Mack, Haruko Arango-Kautz, and keeper Megan McDevitt.
