WISSAHICKON 3, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 1
Jasmine Bishop, Anna Wilde, and Senior Captain Mary Mathews had a near perfect game as they set the ball up patiently and played it out to get their Trojans forward. In midfield Rachel Colemen stood out, once again winning 50/50s and distributing forward. And up-top Alexis Smith, Carley Amato, and Senior Captain Maddie Elwell kept pressure high on defense and on offense, found often, the thru balls distributed by their center mids. A great Team effort today gave Wiss the W.
At 15:44 Bishop received a ball at the top of the 18 and dribbled thru PWs defense taking a nice far-side, lower 90 shot to put Wiss on top 1-0. Nine minutes into the second half, Elwell dribbled down the left side to fire a rocket, hitting the far-side low, putting Wiss up 2-0. And again at 61:81 Elwell received just outside the left side of the 18, to turn and shoot finding the back of the net, bringing the tally to 3-0. PW countered at 73:50 with a thru ball, resting the score at 3-1 Wiss.
