At the 34th minute of this game, our entire plan changed. We were down 2-0, playing a girl down, with a field player in net. We knew that Upper Dublin was going to pounce at this opportunity and the next 46 minutes were going to be the hardest that we have ever played. Our nine field players stepped up and held UD to just 3 shots in the second half.

At half time we changed our formation, we changed our mind-set, and we went over the fundamentals that were going to get us back in the game. When I asked who was going to start this spark for us, every player in our huddle said, "I am. Me Coach."

And that is what they did. Riley Mullen stepped up huge making five tremendous saves, as our field player turned goalie. She was unbelievable. With her came the solid performance of every player wearing a UM jersey. We knew we had to get the ball, possess, and counter. Emma Frasca and Kyra Favors played off each other netting our first goal seven minutes into the second half.

Not only did we have to work for our offensive opportunities, but we also worked to stifle the play of Upper Dublin. The effort was there, we held them to three shots in the second half. Molly Meakim, our center back was phenomenal today. She centered our defense, and was a force on our defensive end.

In the 76th minute, Mallory Roedig took a direct kick for us. She put in the tying goal on a beautifully hit ball to the upper ninety.

With about 45 seconds left in the first overtime Riley Mullen was able to make two unreal saves from point blank range, prior to an Upper Dublin rebound, inside the six, that sealed the game.

Today's match was as thrilling as they come. I can not stress enough how every player on our team contributed to what we did today. We walked off the pitch with our heads high.

It was an incredible game.
