It was a very competitive game. In the first half UM had 5 shots to Cheltenhams 4. In the second half the Bears turned up the intensity. Out shooting Cheltenham 16-1. The Bears had three dangerous opportunities at the end of regulation.
The last time the Bears went to overtime was against Plymouth Whitemarsh where they lost; they wanted this game. The ball was played to the outside and Amanda walker was able to get off a cross. Sarah Veneziale hit a shot that ricochet off Cheltenhams goalie Eliana Wyler. Byard was there to finish it.
