1-0 PW Halftime

Really strong win today vs. Quakertown. Quakertown is a tough, physical team with talent up front. We knew that they were going to come out ready to play after we won at their place in August.

We had to weather the storm for the first 7~8 minutes.

10 minutes into the game, freshman Molly McEvoy receives a ball and plays freshman Lori Flannery an incredible through ball down the left side. Lori takes two touches to the endline and plays a ball into the box with her left foot. Senior captain Marleigh Burton makes the far post run from 40 yards away and chips the ball over the goal keeper's head for her third goal of the season. Marleigh was really strong through the first five games of league play so it was great to see her on the scoresheet today. Her second half was as good as I've seen her play.

The first half was back and forth but I really felt like we controlled play in the second half. We had multiple opportunities to score - had a few breakaways, hit crossbar on a free kick, etc.

Goalkeeper Olivia Bragg was very confident today, coming off of her line. Our backline of seniors Maddie McLaughlin, Maddie McGuckien, Kaiane Jayo, and freshman JJ Lafferty were outstanding today. As I mentioned, Quakertown has talent up top and our defenders handled their 1v1 battles, covered for each other, and stayed focused for 80 minutes.

Very proud of the effort as we get back into league play.
