Wow, what a win tonight. Hatboro is playing for their playoff lives and they were fired up to play. They were much-improved from when they came to our place in early September. Night game, under the lights with the stakes being what they are - that is to be expected.

We were doing the things that we needed to do to create chances in the first half. But our execution was poor on crosses, our corner service wasn't at our standard, we weren't determined enough in front of net. We gave Hatboro belief at the half. We challenged a few players at halftime which we haven't really done this year. To their credit, they responded.

After withstanding the initial 10-minute rush to begin the second half from Hatboro, we really settled in and began creating chances again. We put Liv Patete on corner's in the second half and she delivered a ball to the near post and freshman Lori Flannery got a boot to it and flicked it in for her 6th goal of the season and Patete's third assist.

Flannery is a freshman who is absolutely beloved by her teammates. She is a joy to be around and is a critical part of this team, along with freshmen Molly McEvoy and JJ Lafferty. It has been cool to see a team led by 9 seniors embrace our three freshmen like they have.

With 9 minutes left in the game, Keira Whelan sealed the win with a PK. She earned the PK herself as she had control of the ball in the box and was taken down. Keira is one of our hardest working players. She had been in a scoring drought, and it hasn't been for lack of effort. She, along with senior Maite Jayo in midfield, did so much hard work for us tonight. I couldn't be more thrilled that she got back on the scoresheet. Well-deserved!

Senior defender Kaiane Jayo had a really difficult job marking Hatboro's center fwd, Lily Harvey. Once we made a couple adjustments, Kai had a terrific game.

I also want to highlight the play of freshmen JJ Lafferty at left back who continues to impress, game in and game out.

Maddi Lazaroff had to leave midfield for the final 23 minutes of the game to play centerback and she was outstanding. She has maybe played ten minutes of centerback all season for us so I'm very proud of her for stepping up for her team, in such a big spot.

Senior keeper, Olivia Bragg, continued her strong run of form, earning her and our tenth clean sheet of the season. Her confidence is as high as I've ever seen it and we're really enjoying watching her play.

We have a big challenge ahead of us, Monday night at Abington - they seem to be really being playing well of late. It should be a fun game.
