Another tough divisional battle today. I think the game was very even at times and we definitely fought hard in the second half to defend our lead.
Pennsbury started well and were the better team but we were able to score from a Sarina Igval corner kick when Bella Lanza headed home. Soon after Darcy McCullough was able to slip a pass into Keagen Terry who shot from distance into the far corner and then we added a 3rd goal when Lanza hit home a rebound from a Keagan Terry header.
Pennsbury continued to play well and threatened us, they deservedly scored off a header with about 10 mins left in the first half. In the second half I thought the game was even again, Pennsbury scored to make it 3-2 about halfway through but we were able to see the game out at the end fairly well.
Our goals today were well taken, and our work rate was extremely high especially in the second half. Audrey Rogan and Isabel Diaz really covered a lot of ground for us today.
