A hard fought win again today. A CB West game is always physically tough and today was no exception, both teams competed hard for 80 minutes.
I think we were the more threatening team in the early part of the game, I liked the way we started and we had some good moments and longer range shots that CBW keeper dealt with very well.
We were able to score the winning goal on a corner kick from Sarina Igval, Amber Yuan redirected the ball across the goal into the far corner.
I felt the game got a little messy and we didn’t play our best at times but the effort to defend, compete with West and stay disciplined late in the game was a determining factor. Credit to Reese Ludwig goal and our back 4 for another clean sheet.
