Springfield led 2-0 at half.
The Eagles turned the game upside down in the second half. Senior Carlos Chavez scored about 15 minutes into the second half. Ethan Sylvester served a ball from the corner and Chavez headed into the back of the net. With about 8 minutes left the Eagles tied the game when junior Johan Navarrete fed a perfect through ball to senior Brendan Kelly who knocked it right passed the keeer. The Eagles completed their incredible comeback when Carlos Chavez scored his second of the day and the game winner with three minutes left in the contest. Chavez stole the ball from a Springfield defender dribbled past another and slid the ball by the keeper. Great team effort in the much overdue victory for the struggling Eagles.
