The Eagles scored about 10 minutes in when senior Ethan Sylvester crossed a ball that somehow reached the far post where senior Carlos Chavez was there to put it in the back of the net. Just a few minutes later junior Marlon Melgares-Romero passed to Senior Brendan Kelly who although injured struck the ball very well and into the side netting passed the Vikings keeper. Eagles led 2-0 at half. The second half remained scoreless until the Vikings scored with about 8 minutes remaining. Senior goalie Enrique Escobedo was tremendous in the victory. UM's goal was scored while Enrique was on the bench from a yellow card. He returned to the game after the goal was scored to preserve the victory.
