Cheltenham Rebounds with Gritty 1-0 Win Over New Hope-Solebury

After a disappointing loss to Neshaminy on Friday, Cheltenham responded with a determined performance on Monday afternoon, earning a hard-fought 1-0 victory over New Hope-Solebury in the second-to-last game of the regular season.

From the opening whistle, it was clear Cheltenham came into the match with purpose. A focused pregame team talk set the tone, and the Panthers played with composure and discipline throughout a physical 80 minutes.

The first half was a midfield battle, with both teams struggling to create clear scoring opportunities. Cheltenham’s defense stood strong, consistently shutting down New Hope’s attacking efforts and keeping goalkeeper Wolf Brown relatively untested. The best chance of the half came just before the break when Ean Justice launched a long throw-in from the left. Emile Chanoine rose above the defense to meet it with his head, but the effort flew just over the crossbar. The teams entered halftime scoreless.

The second half saw an increase in tempo, with both teams pressing higher and pushing for a breakthrough.
