We had a hard fought win tonight for our senior night against quakertown. They gave us everything they had and finally we rose to the occasion and put forth one of our best efforts of the season. We have been stressing having a winning attitude and today they showed just that. They weren’t going to lose this game. Our seniors really played great tonight!!! 2 of them lost starting spots earlier in the season and came through for us tonight and might have earned starting spots again. Joey Weimer and Dennis Latosh had their best performances of the season and fellow seniors Nate Quigley and Jonathan Frevrier shot down their best offensive player and really frustrated him. Seniors Paolo Musumeci and Ben Wagner had strong performances in our midfield and Senior Keeper Jacob Sterman was also really good tonight making a couple of key saves on dangerous chances that Quakertown created and senior Jonah Twersky did a good job in his role tonight as well. It was an all around team effort

We came out fast and very intense and got the early lead on a goal by sophomore Cameron Rhoades and held the lead til halftime. We stressed putting the game away at halftime and keeping that intensity high but Quakertown came out to start the half fired up as well and tied the game. Only this time we rose to the occasion and continued to work and battle and got the game winning goal on a free kick from about 35 yds out from Nate Quigley floating the ball over the goalies head into the corner of the net.

Quakertown really pressed us after that and we held on til the end of the game!! I was very proud of our players tonight. They kept their composure and played with that winning attitude the entire game. Hopefully we can build on this and get another win on Saturday!!!
