COACH ED BRNARDIC:
Midway through the first half it was 1-1 and things were just not going our way. North Penn striker Carson Schell scores a gorgeous goal against us - full credit to him, he made a great move and buried his shot into the bottom corner. We had several glorious chances to score but North Penn Goalkeeper Brady Schwengles was having the game of his life. It seemed like his arms were flying out of his body like Inspector Gadget to make some incredible saves. Coach Ditri and I looked at each other, and we thought the same thing - How about Freshman Luca Yencha? We put Luca in, and he immediately changed the game. From his first touch he set up an attacking play and a few minutes later it was his run and his effort that forced a corner kick. It was that corner that AJ Oknoniewski delivered a perfect ball that Lucas headed into the North Penn goal to give us the 2-1 lead. A few minutes later it was Luca Yencha delivering a beautiful cross, again to an attacking Lucas Tyson to give us the 3-1 lead going into the half time. Luca Yencha wasn’t done, in the second half he made another hard run to keep the ball in bounds, beat his defender and played a beautiful ball into an on-rushing Jackson Tait who buried the ball.

PROPS:
Our player of the game was Luca Yencha. He did his best prime Luka Modric impersonation today. Nate Monser had a great game both on the field and also in goal (he got an assist on the final goal of the game from his keeper position), Jackson Tait scored two more goals, Lucas Tyson kept his scoring streak going by adding another two today and our midfield of AJ Okoniewski, Tyler Jaskelewicz and Josh Dozier ran hard and contributed to the score sheet.
