First goal was Casey at 12:28, we scored 2 more 9:39 and 7:50, then they scored at 4:50 and we scored with 1:34 left.

Second half Bryn scored with 11:53 then Finley from Shaw at 10:25 and then Bryn at 2:01 then they scored at 1:43 and 1:10

Comments: Before the game I told them it is not about I, it is about we. I told them they needed to leave it all out on the field so this team could survive another day together, and that they needed to make sure that Springfield remembered the day they played CB West. And they certainly did. They played as a team and they won as a team. Offensively they moved the ball well, better than we have seen with such consistent pressure. It wasn't perfect at times and their goalie played well, but we always fought back for the ball and found the back of the net when they needed it most and everyone contributed. We caused nine turnovers on our redefend and that coupled with our defense that just played out of their minds were the reasons we gained confidence and kept it. We have been focusing on our mindset and believing; they went into this game knowing that if they fought together they could win. I said yesterday that it was the first time I walked onto the practice field prior to second round thinking that these girls were not done and this season was not over. They were exceptional today and they made program history. I am so proud of their TEAM effort.

Everyone showed up, but Maddie Maio was outstanding on defense today. She had excellent discipline and positioning on their best player causing 4 of their turnovers as well as adding 5 ground balls, 1 assist and 1 draw to her day. But if Maddie was picked off or couldn't get to her, all my low defenders stepped up. Rachel Shaw had 2 caused turnovers and she was a big impact in transition. Lucy Varner and Meghan Darcy had two caused turnovers as well with 3 ground balls and Katie Holt also had two caused turnovers with 1 groundball. The discipline, positioning and rebounds were consistent all game. And Lauren Devlin with 10 saves was our last defender and had a stellar game as well.
