It took us a while to settle in today and we got ourselves into a 6-0 hole in the first quarter. We couldn’t seem to come up with any of the draws in the first quarter and Souderton’s attack capitalized. I think back to back games in this heat and getting used to Souderton’s field, which is really short and narrow, threw us off of our game today and we had moments where we seemed to struggle with the fundamentals. By the 2nd quarter we started to settle in, coming up with more draws, locking off on defense and finding the back of the net on attack. Through sheer grit and determination the girls fought their way out of the hole, winning both the 2nd & 3rd quarters and entering the 4th quarter 1 goal ahead. Unfortunately, we couldn’t carry that through in the 4th but I was super proud of their efforts.
