Cheltenham 12, New Hope Solebury 4

Cheltenham came out strong in the second half in Monday’s conference-opener, with a 12-4 win over New Hope. Midfielder, Brianna Garnder, dominated on the circle and the offensive end with 9 draw controls and 5 goals while Junior goalie, Megan Robinson showed up huge with 12 saves and a 75% save percentage.
Cheltenham coach Emily Towey: “I am constantly impressed by the growth this team is making. We are down another key player from another injury, and girls are filling in holes and finding ways to adapt. Marelle Johnston stepped up huge for us as a middie and one of our attackers, Bella Pero, played incredible defense when we needed to make some adjustments on the field. Our defensive unit (Penny Morrison, Vlada Larina, Lila Payne, and London Montague) is coming together really well. We're making smarter decisions and playing with a better sense of IQ. You can see it and hear it in the way they are playing together."
