The first half our attack struggled to get into a rhythm and turnovers hurt us. Our defense really kept us in the game and Lauren Ring came up with some big saves to keep the game close.
After the half we started to win some draws and convert on attack. With under 8 minutes to go, we were down by two goals. I am proud of how the defense caused turnovers, especially the work of Izzy Treon and Shannon Roy. In the 2nd half, the attack was able to find the back of the net to eventually gain the lead with 54 seconds left in regulation.
Unfortunately, Methacton was able to get a great shot off with a second left to tie up the game and to put it away in OT. It was a tough overtime loss.
We have to continue to work on our individual talents and weaknesses and clean up some of our decision making. If we are able to do that, I am confident that this team will see success.
