Wissahickon played a hard fought battle, Tuesday, March 29th against Central Bucks West. Playing in the first game of the season, the girls got off to a fast start with 2 goals from Emily Verviled in the first 5 minutes of the game. Unfortunately, CBW answered back quickly to tie it up. A goal by Sam Intreri and Christina Tsibiokas before the end of the second half, was not enough to hold off the Buck’s. At half, the Trojans fell 4-6. The Trojans continued to fight back in the second half, but were double teamed and unable to gain ground ball control. Tsibiokas, Claire Tarzia, Caty Santucci and Vervlied each netted a goal in the second half for a final score, 8-11. Talia Abrahams proved to be immensely aggressive and quick on defense and Kyra Myers had 9 saves in goal.
