CB South rallied from a halftime deficit to edge Pennsbury, 8–7, in a hard-fought comeback victory. The Falcons led 3–2 after the first quarter and extended their advantage to 7–4 at the break, but the Titans tightened the gap in the third before dominating the fourth quarter, 3–0, to secure the win. The Titans were disciplined and fought hard throughout the contest. Senior captain Tessa Walls led the offense with three goals and one assist while also doing an outstanding job defensively guarding Pennsbury’s top attacker, Sasha Dodos. Junior midfielder Kelly McDonald added two goals and one assist, including the game-tying goal to make it 7–7. Senior attacker Kaylee Conner chipped in two goals, and junior captain Sarah Victor netted the game-winner. Defensively, captains Jordyn McCartin and Kaeli Vandersluis anchored a strong unit, with Vandersluis recording three caused turnovers, while McDonald and Alivia Lloyd added two each. Victor, Elysia Fessler, and Taylor Aldrich each contributed a caused turnover. McDonald also controlled the draw with four draw controls, Walls added three, and Fessler had two. Walls, McDonald, and Fessler each collected three ground balls. Sophomore goalkeeper Elia Kafel made four saves in net for the Titans. Pennsbury’s goalkeeper came up big with a key save in the final two minutes to keep the game tight. CB South will travel to Harriton on Friday, May 1.
