We knew North Penn had a strong, fast midfield, so controlling the draw was a key focus. Our midfield unit of Paige Dougherty, Natalie Berndt, and Cece Hayes did an outstanding job working together and came up with the majority of the draw controls.
Offensively, our attackers did a great job creating space, finding the open player inside the 8, and getting off quick shots. As a coach, it’s incredibly rewarding to watch them collaborate and consistently look to set each other up for success.
Seniors Avery Stephenson and Bella DeHaven led the defensive unit who fought hard for every ground ball, blocked shots, and caused turnovers. When the defense clicks, it makes things easier on everyone across the whole field, and today they were truly battling and in sync. They did a great job limiting shots and getting the ball back up into our offensive end.
