Great game.
Abington won the game in the last minute of the game. It was tie 12 -12 with 2 minutes to go.
Halftime score PW 5 Abington 4
Draw control was key in the game. PW defense was creating positive turnovers in the first half and we capitalized on them on the offensive end.
In the second half, Abington scored the first six goals to go up by five. Pw fought back and slowly tied the game. With 5 minutes left PW took a 12 -11 lead.
PW had possession, but couldn’t capitalize on a shot and Abington gained control and tied the game. Then Abington won the draw and put the ball int he net to go up by two.
Scorers for Abington: Mikki Raymond 7 g, 1a, Sam Mc Gee 3g, 2a, and Jeanne VanBuren, Rachel Morris, and Jules Greco 1 each.
Pw scorers:Kirsten Monte 4g, Ali diamond 3g, 4a, Sophie Kolkka 3g, 2a, and Maddie Berman 2g.
I was proud of my team for being aggressive and competing all night. It was a nice night to have a great game.
