Tanner Scores Eight to Lead Central Bucks South in Win Over Pennridge
Doylestown, PA: Chris Tanner scored eight goals, including four in the fourth quarter as Central Bucks South pulled away to defeat Pennridge 14-11 in a hard fought Suburban One Continental boys lacrosse game on Friday night at War Memorial Field. Teammate Jake Henze also came up big when it counted, scoring two of his three goals in the fourth, which started with the two teams knotted at 8-8.
Evan Falkowski added two goals and two assists for the Titans, while Dillon Kelly had a goal. Ian Vogt added two assists, while Brendan McGrath and Austin Naessens each had an assist. Defensively, the Titans were led by Timmy Ross (6 ground balls), Steve Nowelski, Joe Vitelli, Jake Lautt and Kevin Witchey. Goalie Robbie Richick had 11 saves for the Titans, who improved to 11-0 (9-0 SOL Continental).
Tanner’s eight goals tied his own school record, set earlier this season in a game versus Abington.
