The William Tennent Panthers Varsity field hockey team got their first win of the season today. It was a hard fought 2-1 victory over Cheltenham High School.

After trailing 1-0 to Cheltenham in the 1st quarter William Tennent went on to score 2 unanswered goals. Both goals were scored by sophomore Zoey Cumiskey. Cuminskey's 1st goal was scored in the 2nd quarter and was assisted by sophomore Natalie Smith. Cumiskey's 2nd goal was scored in the 3rd quarter and was assisted by junior Madelyn DeFortuna. William Tennent stayed on the attack for much of the 4th quarter and played tough defense against a hungry Cheltenham High School allowing them to seal the victory.

William Tennent was proud to get their first win of the 2025 season and look to carry this momentum into their next game.
