Central Bucks West Comments
CB West lost 3-2 at North Penn today. It was a terrific and well played game by both teams. Each team had ample opportunities to go ahead, with North Penn holding up the lead.
Taylor Mason scored at 22:30 in the first half to put CBW up 1-0. North Penn tied it up with 8:43 in the first half. CBW had 7 corners to North Penn's 5. CBW's Peyton Fischer was credited with 4 saves in the first half.
In the second half North Penn caught CBW off guard and was able to score in the first 33 seconds after the whistle blew. North Penn put what seemed like the nail in the coffin with 6:37 remaining to go up 3-1. But the last 5:30 minutes belonged to West as they mounted attack after attack at the North Penn defense. With 1:42 remaining Casey Reichwein scored off the corner (Olivia Fitzgerald assist) to make it 3-2. With just under a minute West had their best chance to tie with a ball going just outside the left post and a reaching West forward.
Kudos to the North Penn goalie who made some great saves to keep North Penn on top. Peyton Fischer played well stopping several NP break aways that could have put the game out of reach. It was an exciting and well played game on both ends. CB West just finished up a streak of 3 games in a row. They will play again on Monday at home vs CB South.

Notes: Great effort by both teams in a hard fought game today. Defense for NP was key to hold off Central Bucks West strong attack led by GK Anissa Gardizy , backs Rachael Fisher, Lauryn Fahey, and Meghan Daniels. The attack made the most of their opportunities scoring the first goal off a penalty corner (Barrow to Rees) and then firing in two more for the win.
