Our Team had a slow start today against a very strong North Penn team. They caught us off guard scoring 2 first quarter goals. It was our first day of school so maybe that had something to do with it. Regardless, the girls found a way to get locked in and got some shots on goal. In the huddle after the first quarter, the team decided that this was not how they wanted the game to go. The girls took control of the game and scored 3 goals in the second quarter. They really came alive. They kept pressuring and attacking the ball. They found one another with some great passing sequences and taking risks in the offensive circle. We are so proud of the girls for turning things around today. Great play from our forwards once again. Carrie Williams had a hat trick, and Addison Edwards scored 2 goals. Amy Hazell and Kaeli VanDerSluis worked hard to generate the offensive attack. Our midfielders, Avery Tyler, Jenna Butler, Tessa Walls, and Ella Marchesi played really great today. Our defense was led by Sophia Kraft, Kelly Hemsley and Jordyn Jaffe. Nora McQueen had 7 saves. We will continue to practice hard. Next game is Thursday vs CB West.
