What a beautiful day for a field hockey game. We traveled to Merion Mercy and were fortunate to play on their new turf field. Our girls had to bounce back from a tough loss last night against Souderton and did just that. The girls started off strong and never looked back. The girls were passing and communicating very well together. Jenna Butler played outstanding in the center of the field stopping many balls while redefending and distributing the ball up the field on attack. She had a reverse sweep on goal during corner play that got us on the scoreboard in the first quarter. We had 15 penalty corners against them and they made it difficult to score. Addison Edwards scored in the second quarter by tipping in a Jenna Butler shot on goal. Kudos to the midfield, forwards and the backs for staying in control of the game. Our last regular season game is home tomorrow vs CB East.
