Quakertown Comments
Quakertown started out slow and let Hatboro gain the momentum in the first 10 minutes. Gabby Acker scored on an assist from Brenna Reilley at 22:08 for Hatboro. Hatboro continued to dominate the game until the last 5 minutes in the first half. Quakertown began to find their rhythm and put pressure on the defensive unit of Hatboro. First half stats strongly favored the more aggressive Hatboro team; 7 penalty corners and 6 shots on goal. The second half Quakertown came alive and really began to play some quality hockey. Anna Thompson, Mackenzie Hadfield and Olivia Jackson held the midfield with some nice passing combinations. Julia Ely showed great determination by collecting the rebound from the Hatboro goalie and firing a high shot into the net with 8:12 left on the clock to tie the game. Defensively Quakertown held strong to end the game in a tie. Unfortunately due to a defensive breakdown, Hatboro's Gabby Acker scored on a nice reverse low shot to the far post within the first minute of overtime for the win. I am pleased with our second half play but in order to win we have to play strong for the entire 60 minutes. Quakertown is away at Cheltenham Thursday.

Victoria Mullen, Brenna Reilley and Kaitlyn Wallace were once again strong in the defensive zone. Victoria Mullen during the last 2 minutes of the regulation 60 minutes came up with a key defensive save that kept the score at 1- 1 when she transitioned the ball up the right side to end the regulation time.. Liz Wilburn had 3 saves in goal.
HH 2 Quakertown 1 in overtime
