The seniors of Central Bucks East HS, Lindsey Adriaansen, Emily Brennan Abbey Butler, Reilly Finegan, Alli Herbine, and Sarah Sheehy were honored at the Colby Umbrell Field in Patriots Stadium in the pre-game ceremony. Neshaminy senior, Mia Sexton came out strong to score early in the first half, and within a few minutes, senior Patriot, Reilly Finegan answered with an excellent corner shot. Neshaminy fought back and scored two more goals before the half. Unfortunately for the Patriots, they never saw the lead. In the second half Mackenzie Boyle shot a rocket pas the keeper to come within one with a little over 10 minutes left in the game, but the final score remained 3-2.
This was a tough game in the Suburban One Conference and could have gone either way. The Patriots held the statistical advantage in shots and corners and had some very close shots that could have been game changers. This game might be what we needed to push us to finish out the season strong and fight through adversity. I was proud of the team during plenty of the game, but we need to get back to more cutting off the ball, quick decision making, strong passing team that got us the wins we currently have on the board.
