Abington field hockey opened their season with a win over Cheltenham w
scoring three goals in each half. Senior Sam McGee opened up the scoring with 18:45 off an unassisted goal. Freshman Paige Doyle followed suit scoring unassisted seven minutes later. Junior Grace Hopkins found teammate Grace Terrizzi with 4:36 minutes left in the first half to take the 3-0 lead.

Abington took control of the second half quickly scoring 24 seconds into the start of the half off a passing series initiated by Senior Kaila Brown. Sam McGee passed to sophomore Sam Simon for the goal. Kaila Brown got her own goal seven minutes later off an assist from Doyle on a penalty corner. Paige Doyle finished the scoring with 1:08 left scoring unassisted.
Abington led in penalty corners 12-3. Goalkeepers Megan Dockstader and Mackenzie Greiner are credited with the shutout.
