“I was very proud of our effort starting from the jump. The girls played together, communicated well on defense, and stayed locked in on the game plan. Their energy and willingness to support one another on both ends of the floor made a big difference and set the tone for the entire game," said coach Kathie Sims. Maura Jacob led the offense with 9 points, Kai Potter added 6 points and 9 rebounds, Bella Butcher added 5 assists.

"We knew this would be a great test for our group, and while we didn’t start the game the way we wanted, it provided an opportunity for growth. Turnovers and shot selection hurt us early, and Wissahickon did a strong job getting the ball inside and using their size to finish around the basket.
At halftime, we challenged our girls to win each possession and take better care of the basketball. Their response was outstanding. The energy, grit, and intensity they brought in the second half was exactly what we were looking for and set the tone for how we want to play.
Paisley Heft and Alexa Reich continue to be consistent bright spots for us. Heft stayed aggressive on the offensive end, finishing with 9 points, and made a big impact defensively with her rebounding and shot blocking despite being undersized in the paint. Reich played all 32 minutes and continues to show toughness and poise beyond her years. She led the team with 10 points, is growing more comfortable within our offense, and remains a reliable presence on the defensive end. Watching a three-sport athlete like Alexa compete every day has been a pleasure for our staff.
After the game, we talked about how far this young team has come. While the record may not reflect it yet, the growth, effort, and commitment we see every day continue to move us in the right direction."
