Tonight's game against CB East had the feeling of a league battle early. The energy and intensity was high right from the start. Both team came out firing, but East had the early lead after one at 21-15. The second quarter was much of the same as both teams answered back and forth. CB East held the lead at halftime by a score of 34-29. "I was really proud of how well we played and executed the first half", said Coach Whitney. "Even though we got caught up in their pace of play early, our girls responded." "My big concern at halftime was the fact that we gave up too many first half points, and didn't do a great job on the boards." The second half the Panthers seem to lose some of their steam as a result of too many turnovers and the fact that they lacked the offensive rhythm they had in the first half. Tennent found themselves down 48-37 after three quarters and were never able to get it any closer. The offense continued to struggle and defensively they couldn't get the stops they needed. "It's a tough loss for our team, especially with the way we played in the first half, but still so many positives as we continue to develop and get better." Kyla Gibson lead the panthers with 13 points, Bryn Evans chipped in 10, Emma Stanfield added 9, and Kelly Scipione had 7.
