Hot shooting early by CB East, combined with a poor job of rebounding the ball proved to be the difference tonight in the Panthers 55-33 loss. The Patriots came out strong knocking down outside shots and capitalized on second chance opportunities to take the lead at halftime 33-11. The Panthers, however, showed no quit as they made an 11-3 run to pull within 14 with a minute and 30 seconds remaining in the third quarter. A few unforced turnovers and missed rebounds late in the quarter snapped their run, as the Patriots closed out the quarter with 6 quick points to extend their lead to 42-22. The Panthers continued to fight, but it was just too much to overcome. Kyla Gibson lead the way with 8 points, Emma Stanfield had 7, Kelly Scipione, Brianna Broccardi, and Jess Rutkowsky each had 6 points respectively.
