We won a tightly contested game that was back and forth the entire game. Derek Wright is a great coach who always has his team playing unselfishly and disciplined. It was a thrilling battle from start to finish but we were fortunate to walk out with the win.
Sophomore Naman Parmar delivered a huge basket on a beautiful up and under move late in the fourth quarter to help extend the lead.
Coming off the bench, Karter Richard provided invaluable defensive minutes.
Down the stretch, Mike Ellzy took over. With Council Rock up two, Ellzy attacked the rim strongly, drew a foul, and calmly sank both free throws to tie the game at 48-48. After a crucial defensive stop, Ellzy drove the lane again, drew help defense, and made an unselfish kick-out pass to Jacob Eberhardt, who buried the go-ahead basket for a 50-48 lead. We were able to get a stop on Council Rock’s final possession sealing the hard-fought victory for our squad.
