Plymouth Whitemarsh 6

Souderton had an early heartbreaking exit from the PIAA District One Baseball Playoffs in round 2. The Indians started off immediately looking dominant with a 3-run first inning. For most of the game the Indians appeared to have the upper hand out-hitting Plymouth Whitemarsh 10-5, but it was a 6-run 4th inning that proved too much to overcome. Connor Klock gave Souderton hope in the 5th with a towering 2-run homer, bringing the team to within one run but PW held on for the win to advance to the next round. Despite coming into the impressive Colonials stadium as underdogs, the team played with the confidence and expectation of advancing. And for 6-out-of-7 innings it outplayed its higher-ranked opponent, but in the end PW had just more runs cross the plate.
