The Hatters and Titans played another classic in their rivalry on Thursday afternoon at Clifford C. Hendrickson Field. The Hatters came out on top of this game with a 1-0 win in 11 innings. Freshman Colin Kennedy and juniors Eric Lane and Kevin Barron were the heroes on the afternoon for HH.

Barron pitched 7 shutout innings, allowing 7 hits and 2 walks while striking out 9. Kennedy made his varsity SOL Continental debut in relief of Barron. He pitched 4 innings allowing no runs on 1 hit and 1 walk. He also struck out 1, while earning the win.

CB South's Matt Radwanski was tremendous on the mound for the Titans. The senior RHP threw 8 shutout innings, allowing just 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 6. Kuypers came on in relief and took the loss when the Hatters scored an unearned run in the bottom of the 11th sending the Hatters faithful home happy.

With one out in the 11th, Chris Crookham reached on an error. Crookham advanced to second on a hit-and-run single by junior John O'Malley. One out later, junior Eric Lane stepped to the plate with the tying run on second. Lane smoked a single through the infield and into right field scoring Crookham and setting off a celebration for the Hatters.

In two days, the Hatters have played 20 innings of baseball. Despite only scoring 3 runs in those 20 innings, they got 2 wins, thanks in large part to their pitching staff. Dave Brown, Eric Lane, Kevin Barron and Colin Kennedy combine to allow just 1 run over those 20 innings.

The Hatters are back in action on Monday, when the host the defending PIAA State Champion North Penn Knights in another SOL Continental battle.
