LOWER MORELAND GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW
Coach: Andy Krasna (1st season with Lower Moreland)
Assistant coaches: Kalie Soulsby, Ceili Courduff
Last year’s record: SOL 4-4, Overall 14-12
Notable losses: Dani Brusha (Holy Family University), Briana McFerran , Nikki Sahl (East Stroudsburg University – soccer), Coach Rich Becker – 20-year head basketball coach at Lower Moreland
Key returners: Mady Rossiter (Sr. Forward)
Maddie Broderick (Jr. Guard)
Emma DiJoseph (Jr. Guard)
Molly Martin (Jr. Guard)
Sydney Santora (Jr. PG)
Sophia Fey (Sr. Guard)
Others to watch: Olivia Fey (So. Guard), Jaylynn Dejesus (Jr. Center)
Strengths: Incredible energetic group of 9th graders who will be the core of our JV team. They are intelligent, great communicators, competitive, and hungry. My hope is that some of the 9th graders transition to the varsity level by season’s end.
Question Marks: Our ability to establish a consistent rotation early in the season. Our ability to develop excellent team chemistry with players embracing their roles.
Outlook: “Our primary goal is to build on Coach Becker’s successes by cultivating positive attitudes, helping the players build confidence, and mirroring strong character. Another goal will be to reduce turnovers and force more turnovers from our opponents. We expect to take our lumps due to a very competitive non-league schedule and a strong SOL schedule, but as we improve as a unit, the winning will eventually follow.”
