COUNCIL ROCK NORTH BOYS’ BASKETBALL PREVIEW
The 2025 - 26 CR North Boys Basketball team - under head coach Derek Wright - returns five varsity players, including two starters, from last year’s team. Last season provided these returning players with valuable experience that should help prepare them for this season. Junior guard Owen Crowne (10.0 ppg, 3.9, rpg, 18 steals) was last year’s leading scorer and, most importantly, managed unexpected responsibility well as an underclassman. Senior forward Dylan Kiefer (3.1 ppg, 5.1 rpg) is also a returning starter for the Indians. Kiefer played a significant role on the backboard and defensive end last season and is ready to take on more of a leadership role for CR North.
Other returning varsity players include senior guards Billy McBride (14 games played last year) and Aryan Prabhu (13 games & 5 3’s), as well as junior guard/forward Danny Cuneo (15 games). The ‘25 - ‘26 team will mix in a talented group of underclassmen who will bring much needed depth to the lineup.
The Indians open up their ‘25 - ‘26 campaign at home on 11/29 vs. Lower Bucks foe Bristol High School. The schedule is highlighted by additional tough early season non-league games vs. Hatboro Horsham and Episcopal Academy.
CR North opens their SOL Patriot Division campaign on the road against two time defending champion Bensalem. Boy/Girl Varsity Doubleheaders against in - district rival CR South & border rival Pennsbury are always highlights to the season. The regular season schedule wraps up with Senior Night at home vs. Lower Moreland on February 5th. .
