HH battled a strong game today vs Abington and was able to come out with a 2-1 victory. This was a huge game for us. Whenever we play Abington I always feel like it’s a very good battle and today was no different. The first time we played them we lost 3-0 and it was a very bad loss for us. We were missing some starters and we were weren’t used to the 3 games a week schedule just yet. We played one of our worst games that day. But ever since that game we knew exactly what we needed to work on and where we needed to make changes. So this time around we were better prepared. We went down 1-0 pretty early in the game but none of the girls put their heads down. Going into the second half still down a goal I knew we needed to score quick. Mia Malofiy was able to take a punt from our goalie Sam Hollish, bring it down, take a couple dribbles and get the shot of. It was beautifully set up for her. She’s probably the tiniest player on the field but has an unbelievable shot. A couple minutes later Emma Levin was fouled in the box to get a PK and she took it and shot upper 90 for the goal. After that we went more defensive and was able to hold on and come out with a win. I thought everyone out there on the field worked hard today for the Lady Hatters and I am proud of them for never giving up.
