Wissahickon girls soccer defeated Norristown 8-0 tonight. The Trojans dominated from the opening tap until the final whistle. Sophomore standout Cailin Grey scored three goals and provided two assists in the victory. Rachel Stone and Ellen Claire Benbow split goalkeeping duties to record the shutout. Benbow also had two assists in the first half before stepping into the goalie position in the second half. Other scorers for the Trojans were Alex Schaefer with two goals , and Amanda Esposito, Cameron Kellock, and Meredith Brown each contributing a goal. Captains Kelly Pierce and Maureen Beichert each had an assist in the effort.

In the second half with most of the Wissahickon starters on the bench, senior Jackie Carradorini took control of the game. She spread the ball all over the field and allowed Wissahickon to maintain possession and keep the ball in the Norristown half of the field for the entire second half of the game.
