Cheltenham girls soccer beat Norristown tonight 6-0. We came out strong from the start and had many opportunities to put the ball in the net. Norristown was playing the offsides trap really well tonight and it took us some time to adjust, but once we did we made some great runs and connected strings of good passes. The Norristown keeper also played a great game and made us work hard for each goal. 6 different girls scored. In the first half goals were scored by Taden Versaw-Barnes, Lola Jahss and Amelia Fishman. The second half had goals by Kayla Brockington, Maya Schwartz and Sophie Peck. On the defensive end, we were lead by our keeper Rohan McInneshin who earned the shutout. We are looking forward to bringing this energy to our first home game tomorrow against Upper Moreland.
